About Willow Turf Care

My Story

I’m Richie Woodmason and I’m a Sports Turf Science and Management student at Myerscough College, University of Lancashire. I’ve been learning the art of groundsmanship and grass care since I was 15 and have spent 2 years in Perth, Australia being trained by Philip Petricevich.

I was head curator at Willetton District Cricket Club and Western Suburbs Cricket Club. I have been head groundsman at Frocester Cricket Club and produced the best wickets in the league.

Following this success, I secured a groundsman job at Bristol County Ground with the GCCC. I went on to become Head Groundsman at Lansdown Cricket Club who play in Premier 2 1stXI league.

I then moved to Nottingham to take on the role of Deputy Head Groundsman and now I am venturing out to self employed. I am now in charge at Hatherley & Reddings CC, Poulton CC, Wellesbourne CC, Hunningham CC, Stroud CC and OCG.
